Default Earthquake!

We just had a 6.4. Near Searles valley, around 60 miles from me. Just a little fun one, no damage here, not even a window shaker, just a roller.

I/we felt that one too, a little less intense but attention getting. Hardly felt any of the many aftershocks though. I'm surprised it wasn't more violent down this way, we felt the Northridge shaker real good, knocked some stuff off shelves, sloshed about 1/2 gal. out of the aquarium, and it was a wall grabber. Nothing like walking down the hallway, and getting broadsided by a wall. We had a new(er) puppy when that one hit, I thought that poor dog would never be the same, it took awhile, and the aftershocks didn't help.

No one panic! Mexico and AOC have 10 million replacement citizens on standby in case anyone was killed.

They reported aftershocks. Those weren’t aftershocks, it was Kawhi signing with the Clippers. Simultaneously, the city of Toronto went dark.

I will give liberal California credit for one thing though, their buildings are not sustaining damage.

It really gets my goat when some region fails build to sustain known perils and then our money gets used to rebuild to withstand that peril which the region neglected in the first place. Like all those wooden homes in the tinderbox forest. We shouldn't even send the fire dep't to those fires. It's a waste of money.

Just wait. None of that energy has shifted to the east yet. Normally quake energy moves east toward the Midwest after it flows down the coast.... But it hasn't this time. It's piling up in California. Unless it starts to give a little more east, there may be a huge earthquake in the next few days.

Where I live we don't get quakes very often . Last night When I felt that I looked at my wife and said " that was big for us to feel it " . Then the phone goes off and 7.1 and it is kinda close to us . We didn't feel the 6.4 at all . Glad that wasn't more south or LA would be on the ground right now .
