Take it from me, when you buy or are given a bag of ''100%'' real kona coffee, 9 times out of ten, it is cut with cheap stuff from someplace else, and the package is a lie. Just like how the coke dealers used to pretend. The kona coffee business is rife with fraud. I drink instant cause of lazyness...

I prefer kopi luwak

I just bought a MacBook Pro. My old MacBook was seven years old and I squeezed everything out of it I could. It eventually just died so I went shopping.

I wasn't bent on buying a new Mac. There are a lot of good computers out there and, no doubt, they all do what they're supposed to. It came down to a decision between a Surface Pro and a Mac product. In looking at the Macs, the difference now between a MacBook Pro and an Air is negligible in terms of size and weight. Optical drives on laptops are ancient history now. Since the MacBook Pro has a better processor, more RAM and more ports, I don't see the value in buying an Air other than saving a few bucks. The MacBook Pro also comes with the Retina display.

Apple has also introduced the 12" MacBook, which was tempting, but it's minimalistic and designed for people who carry their computer around every day. That's not me.

I looked at Surface Pros and, by all reports, they're good machines. I just couldn't convince myself to buy one. Maybe it's just appearance. I like aluminum over plastic. Maybe I was a little resistant to using Windows as well. OS X is still OS X, whether it's Snow Leopard or Yosemite. I find OS X easy to use (which is simply personal preference).

I'm not convinced that I need a laptop with a touch screen. If I want a tablet, I will buy a tablet. If I want a laptop, I will buy a laptop.

Sorry for the long post but I hope it helps anybody who is computer shopping. For me, it eventually came down to a decision between a Pro and an Air. Other than being tapered at the edges, the Air is actually bigger than the Pro. Size doesn't matter anymore. The Pro is a little heavier but really seems to offer more bang for the buck.

I managed to find one of the last remaining mid 2014 MacBook Pros, the only difference being a slightly different processor and a different trackpad compared to the 2015 model. I saved myself $350.00. These aren't advertised deals; Apple doesn't allow that kind of advertising. You have to find them in the store.
