Adding baking to my resume, I just baked my first pie today. Wild blueberries that we had in the freezer from last summer.

Store bought crust but made the filling.

Next time I try making my own crust.

Of course we do.

Those lighthouse dishes were the first ones I bought when I had a place right on the beach in NJ after my most costly divorce.

I just donated the white ones stoneware ones we had because the edges chipped so easily.

Break out a frying pan and whip up some food brother.

It isn't really hard to turn out something that you like.

I normally take a protein out of the freezer in the am and decide by afternoon what it is going to become.

Coming up in the next couple of days is beef stroganoff, veal carpaccio, veal marsala, and maybe a pasta dish.

I keep diced onions, chopped onion, sliced mushrooms, shredded cheese, shredded cabbage, and a few other items in the frig ready to go all the time.

I normally have a container of coleslaw, romaine salad, and macaroni salad I make weekly in the frig for quick sides as well.

Buying ingredients is the way I go.

I also buy large pieces of beef and butcher them into what i like to use myself. Scraps and fat go towards making quick sausage.

Who has time?

Besides it's BBQ season, my time is at the grill, not the stove.

If you notice my meals have very few carbs (starches) just to avoid that reason and I've been losing weight since the baby was born.

For some reason I feel like being around a whole lot longer now.
