It is and it can hit your nerves pretty hard.

I just found out that one of our bridge on the main roadway went out it broke in three sections that bridge is only 6 KM from my home. so will have to use the backroads on the mountion instead of typical of 15 minuites driving now it will be about a hour or so depending on the traffic.

one elemetery school building went down. not sure which one yet but will get more details as more info rolling in.

Our house is ok just couple minor damage as far I know but will find more later when sun go up.

Glad to hear you are okay!

I'm hoping there were no kids in the school.

Yes it is scary for sure.,, my daughter was really scare and she is stay close to me or my wife.,,

unforetally I got couple aftershocks but not very strong but I kinda expect to get maybe couple more aftershocks.,,

I was outside to look around to see the damage it look not too bad if you look away but closer look it give you the idea of damage we got.

One of the main thrufare bridge is out for sure I am guessing it will be about 3 months to get it fixed up again but right now two adjects propery owner give the permission to run the bulldozer to build a tempory bridge to get across.

Myself I have few service call related to the earthquake but good thing the water supply is safe due myself and other personal we did took a step to keep the water pump going after the earthquake. the water I get is from the resvoir so that help a bit.

I am guessing about 25 maybe 30% of customer dont have power but most will have it back on in couple day after the power company inspect the concrete posts for cracks.

For the elemetery school it was partaly crashed down but that school will be close until the repair is done.

As long as nobody was killed it's a huge blessing.

You guys keep watching out for one another! I am glad that with such a severe quake there isn't much loss of life.

Bridges and schools can be rebuilt, power can be restored, and water can be purified.... A life when lost can't be given back in the same way.

Hold that family tight French! We are all with you!

here is more news .,,

6 dead so far and about 126 injuried.,,

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/...D=ansmsnnews11

One of our largest store got pretty good damage too and some area the city water is cut off it will take few days to get the water restored in few loactions.

The same with the power in the city and surrounding area.

Yes I do still have power and water in my area.

One bridge is out of commison but other two are damaged but still able drive it only on cars and small trucks but no heavy trucks are allowed until the structure is repaired. so the heavy trucks will take the detours for time being.

Myself and my wife did see the Surigao city and it kinda a mess there. and got a other aftershock it is pretty strong one too.
