Default Reward Points Is Over

Cricket said we only have a few hours left to cash in your points.

Please donate them to the Toys for Tots account.

It all started On December 19, 2014 when contractors, on a sister site, asked a simple question about finding a way to turn points into toys for children resulted in contractors coming together in a mad dash to make a difference. That Christmas the ContractorTalk.com community came together to donate $1,500 for the kids through Marine Toys For Tots!

This year, once again, ContractorTalk, ElectricianTalk, PaintTalk, and DIYChatroom will be joining together to make a difference for the kids. Hope currently has 16 rewards points.

We are getting a late start this year so we need to get busy donating to Hope as quickly as possible if we are going to get this done!

What is our goal for this year?

If you would like to donate your reward points to Hope for the Marine Toys For Tots program, simply click on the Rewards tab in the navigation bar at the top of the site and then select the "donate" link. For the username, enter: Hope

2000 points = $20

Ya Hack would give the points if he could.

I don't think he is banned anymore ... profile just says "not here anymore"

Cool Willy is still showing 'registered member'

Anyways, he only has 500 and some points now

Well if I look up Hackwork on ET through Tapatalk, the profile says "not here anymore" but also shows it's either banned or deactivated.

I didn't even realize CoolWill was gone... huh, i wonder what he did (i don't know if I'm permitted to ask, but if you know, you can tell me here or PM me)

Hey Wirenut thanks for the heads up. I donated yesterday. You should keep the reward system though! Maybe have it where you use the reward points to gain different color/fonts for your username, or funny titles that are bellow your name. Sort of have it set up where you have to get past white belt to get to black belt for example. You can't just skip colors, you gotta go down the list in order and the further you go the more expensive they get in points. So it might take years and years for some forum members to get to "Black" as an example.

Not sure if this'll ruin things but you could spend real $ to advance or get titles but the $ goes towards Hope or w/e charity you choose. idk if all this would be cool or too cheesy but just throwin out ideas. Maybe not on anything I said but I think there could be something cool you could do with the reward system. I've never run across a forum with it so it's pretty unique. Anyways just throwin in my 2 cents.

Thanks but I don't have anything to do with the program or the website.
I'm just beating the drum so people know about it going away..

The original points program had some cool stuff, I got some nice wire skinning knifes, also the fancy colored fonts for user names. The original site owner sent a bunch of us Electrician Talk coffee cups.. Now that was super cool and I still use it.
When the site was bought out they changed it and started the gift card thing..

We don't know what the new site will look like,, but we are about to find out.. I hope it works better as I use the desktop view mostly.
They had an ET app for the iPhone and I really liked that one.

Uh.......isn't Christmas cancelled this year too? If the 911 ceremony, and Halloween are cancelled I would think Christmas, and all birthdays are also. We should also cancel the democraptic party.

Cricket just posted that the final Toys for Tots total is 72,444 points.

Thank you to everyone who donated their points for a good cause.

For the record, it was Brian John that had the cups made and shipped one to any member that asked.
Thanks again Brian.
