I come back for two reasons. Reason 1 is because I am a lifelong electrician, and a lifelong electrical contractor.

Second reason and most important is because I am on a mission from God to come here and wake us all up and get the whole lot of you converted. It's for the children don't you know............

Is it my sunny disposition?

What made you come back after you visited the first time?
It's the curiosity as to whether @Cricket really is that cutie in the snuggly fuzzy hoodie or some burly plumber with a stolen avatar.

On a serious note, I come here to mitigate the brain fog. It's interesting seeing what challenges others are facing, how they deal with them, how codes and technologies change and what people think of them, etc.

And there's plenty of non-trade dialogue as well. Everything from humor to politics and unlimited subjects you won't find on "the other site". To compare and contrast the two, I'd say this site is a community whereas the other site is an office with some stern boss watching every keystroke.

I also enjoy the Canadians, Brits, Aussies and others who use the site. I've always been intrigued by culture.

Well, the reason I like it, is that I can learn from more experienced electricians than I, and learn from their experience. And even if I donít follow their advice, it gives me ideas.

I would have never learned about lever nuts if it wasn't for Hax. Think about that one for a bit.

Mostly just to check on the gems of the trade thread, it always gives me a laugh.

Seriously though, I am constantly getting jobs with requirements I have no experiance in. I can almost always make anything ďworkĒ but I come here and find the most professional and economic way to do things that are new to me. Give my customers a better product at a better value helps me feed my family.

Imaging the look of disgust on Hack's face whenever he realizes I'm still around is reason enough.

I learn from others, much of which is not in a handy book. I like seeing what a broader pool of the industry thinks about things in the industry. I like reading the archives like a good book. I continue to learn from the many great members past and present. Great thanks to everyone.
