As 99 said, you can request a canadian card (Amazon.ca or Lowes etc) , but a $20 Lowes gift card gets you about $26 credit.

Your currently sitting on $77 US

I thought .com cards will not work at .ca sites
I only cashed in points once and that was at HD. My memory is a little foggy but somehow they converted it from $USD to loonies. I think the system took care of it. It was surprisingly easy.

I had one for Lowes, and they just scanned the email on my phone, and it came up as ~26 bucks (for a $20 card) as well.

I don't know about Amazon. I ordered both .ca and .com before, but used the .ca for face value at Amazon.ca , and the .com for face value at Amazon.com

The default time-out on vBulletin forums, and what most other forums use, is 1 hour. Here, they changed it to 3 hours to make the forum look more active.

So right now it lists Currently Active Users: 822 (57 members and 765 guests). But they are only "active" in the sense that they have done something in the last 3 hours.

Many of those guests are people who did a Google search for something and clicked thru to a thread here, then went back to Google to keep looking for what they were searching for, their name will still be listed here for 3 more hours.
That seems right. My point is that of the 765 guests, some might be people and mostly bots (pretty much all stemming from a google search as you suggested) and even some of the 57 might be bots to. Regardless they (the site) will not remove the "bot memberships", DIY memberships, etc or put in any hurdle to stop memberships being created as that is what adds "value" to the site.

The real value is seeing how many of the ads real members click through... I suspect the number is amazing low. I have an ad blocker on, so I never even see an ad anyway; I am pretty sure most people do.

Cheers
John

I never thought they worked either. I guess I will have to pay more attention.

Somebody transferred me points once... I never really paid much attention to it because I thought they were not collectible in Canada.

Cheers

Cricket hasn't been here in over a week, neither has the "admin". When she comes back, she will tell us that we were all bad for making this thread and posting in it because it alerts the admins with each post.

Apparently it doesn't alert them very well

I still wish they would sell me the forum so I could implement Helmet's idea and become rich

Ads? What ads? Is that what that big empty space on the right side is for?
