Default 5th Annual NCAEC Apprenticeship Contest

Here's some pictures of the apprenticeship contest I competed in at the Greensboro Coliseum. My buddy says I came one strap away from winning first!

Cool man. What do they give you for achieving a "podium finish" ? Tool prize pack or something like that?

Guess they didn't get to the part where you put covers on stuff huh?

Congrats on 2nd place though! That's a hell of a prize pack! If I was the first place guy, I would turn around, sell the genny and TS, sell the power tools, and go on vacation.

What's the red and blue seal tight for?. Or are you running hot and cold to your panels?

Well it wasn't seal tight. The blue is of course the smurf tube and the orange is actually EMT.

Ummm your union buddy will probably be at the state fair. The owner of my company is anti union and refuses to fund the state fair competition because of their involvement so he packed up took his money and funded this one that I competed and took a bunch of non union companies with him

Soooooooooo many people are ready to help the winner sell that generator!

It was timed. And they did say something about tying water in to the panel but then they changed their minds lol

4 hours. It seems like plenty but the floor is slippery, the material bins you start with don't always have enough stuff.

Looks good, congrats on second,I'm union and have bosses the same way. Us as electricians need to appreciate both, we would have no bargaining power if it wasn't for both sides.

Oh you all right commando sometimes I'm replying on the fly.

There was a milk cookies and story time time too.

Personally, I think unions are necessary to keep certain slave driver types off the working mans back.
