Default 6 unit service

Here's some pics of a 6 unit we did about 3 yrs ago, happen to drive by today and I know you guys like pics. Long story but we were having some trouble with our local inspector not allowing us to use a 6 pack meter unit, so here's what we did

The PUCO does it here, but occasionally we do our own, we use Blackburn crimps and a O/D crimper by Kearny

No, those are meter mains, "disc is under meter in the same can"

Also, we have a really hard headed inspector that said since we have 6 200 amp panels that the bus rating on the 6 pack had to be 1200 amps which is crazy, you can't even buy a 6 pack with that rating and we actually had a square D rep
call him and explain the derating for a multi-family but he was too hard headed to listen, so instead of arguing we did it this way, cheaper in the long run

Ok, I get it now.

Gawdy, but work looks good.

I agree a meter pack would have been easier to do.

This used to be a 6 bay car wash, they added 10' to the back and made 600' sq ft' apartments, I know, why 200 amp services but that's what the owner wanted

Does he apply the same logic to panels?

Why not set a gutter above the Meter Mains and run one mast up the wall?

Yeah, we had thought about that, but would have needed a lug for 7 conductors, figured by the time we spliced it, bought lugs, wireway, and all the other stuff, we could just do it this way and be done

Was hoping you wouldn't zoom in and see that, actually didn't think about it until after we bent the pipe then it was a little too late
