Ran into an asshole framer on a job. Within five minutes he was telling me how lousy my work was and telling me how to do my job. I told him to STFU because a low paid wood butcher wasn’t going to tell a Master Electrician what to do. He said he was going to drop me and I said go ahead. It worked because he did STFU.
He arrives on site wearing a white hard hat bragging about how he has been a superintendent on jobs and he knows what he’s talking about. He starts drywall immediately after framing and tells me to crawl into the ceiling and fish wire later. Nut job. I told him I would take a hammer to his drywall.
Lamp his drywall and show him how lumpy it is. (that's how they build the $50MM homes around here). Shine a bright light on it at an angle from very near the surface and every imperfection lights up.

It's clear that he needs an ass-whoopin, so I would attempt to get him to throw the first punch so I don't get arrested for assault.
I would get within feet-striking range and say "Fu** You" loud enough so that other folks can hear it, then sidestep his move and kick him in the head.
It's because of people like him that I started in martial arts at the young age of 23, and I stay in shape so I can handle myself. But, I'm 60 years old now, and at some point I should probably learn how to walk away from these types of people. But I'm not there yet !
Since you are from Canada I will assume you dropped to your knees and gave him a kiss.
In real life I would have told him to FO and walked off the job. No way I take that ****.
Unfortunately the owner / customer / GC will have to suffer for choosing an a**hole.
I'd call my customer and tell them they have a moron problem, and it's going to cost them a lot of time and money if he does what he says he's going to do. Depending if I am feeling pugnacious, I might make the call in front of the guy, might go outside.
If don't get the owner, I'd leave voicemail and a text telling them there's an urgent matter, check their email, and email them the details. I'd tell them if I don't hear from them in 30 minutes to rectify, I will be gone for the day, if I don't hear from them by the end of the day, I'll be starting another job.
I'd let the owner know that "work it out among yourselves kids" will not be satisfactory resolution. My suggestion would be to axe the guy, but I'd leave it up to them.

i'm sorry, i'mm not quite sure how 'you' should respond to such an incident. as a 240lb 6' person, nobody talks to me like an a$$hole. but if a contractor/drywaller said sh/t like that, i'd be like "fine, this is an added change to my scheduled work and charge extra for having to either remove sh/t in my way that shouldnt be there, OR triple time for having to work around his sh/t"
I’m a skinny chit with noodle arms. I have never won a fight and never will. I have a very high tolerance to pain, though, and if he hit me I would be on the phone to the cops. That would be the end of him and his white hard hat.
As it stands, I’m working weekends and off hours on this job anyway. On a fast track job I get more done with nobody around. I’m not going to bitch to the owner about an asshole; makes me look like a whiner. Finish, get paid, next.

I would not complain to the customer about the framer. I would also not run any wires where he put up the drywall though.
I would contact the customer and explain to them that when I priced the job it was to wire in open, accessible walls so if the walls are all closed up, I will have to make him a new, adjusted price due to the added labour involved.
Wise ass wood butchers. Pull the plug on them. I mean like cut off supply to their Skilsaws and air compressors. Tell them real carpenters can work without power tools, use a hammer and a hand saw. Watch grown men cry.
