It's a getaway for supervision to talk about company and job status, goals, and business strategy.

Yesterday, two other guys and I finished a $30,000-35,000 job. Started on it Thursday morning, finished by lunch time on Friday. Not bad for three guys.

Wow, so on Thursday morning you began doing a material takeoff and had all the material delivered on site and installed in less than 48 hours. Is that what you are saying? Because that would truly be a terrific score for 2 days work.

The company I work for is a plumbing/electrical contractor. As well all kinds of dirt work.

We didn't have things delivered. Loaded up Thursday morning, drove 1.5 hours to the job. Did the same thing Friday. After we finished that job, we loaded up and went to the next job and did that one. Two semis, wheel trencher, excavator, dozer, modified Ford Ranger, two small trailers, GMC Topkick with a 30ft trailer. Roughly 15,000' of trenching done.

Not bad but, what did the job cost? If it cost 40k, this could be a bad thing.

It ain't about how much you make, it is about how much you keep.

your log says IBEW, but it sounds like you are management, not labor ? I'm not being a smart azz, I don't know how that works. Do you still have to pay your dues and keep your card, or do you shelf it somehow ? Just curious.
