EMT is just about all that is used outside around here. Only time we have a problem is if it gets in contact with the earth.

You can use EMT tubing to wire an ATM machine.

When we do work for Kaiser Aluminum, aluminum rigid is mandatory interior ,or exterior.I wonder why? Aluminum Ridge is wonderful to work with.

I would say that was residential installations.
I remember a business that was on the corner of two busy streets. Both streets were widened at one time so the side walks abutted the building. After years of shovelling salt laden snow against the service raceway, it rusted out pretty bad.

I guess it depends on what part of the country you are in.
Snow country has salt laden streets, in my part of the country we have smut laden street.
not sure what kind of corrosion that causes yet.

I caught a good size sturgeon between it and Angel Island once. That place is way too cold........

P.S. Who would have thought that you needed a license to fish in Salt Water?
Not only that, you needed a different license for each different type of stinking fish you caught. Holy California batman......that place was tax happy.
We don't pay to fish in the ocean here, neither was there a tax on it where I grew up in Florida. Anyway, the cops in the boat let me off the hook when they found out I live in a foreign country out in the middle of the Pacific.....
They were actually pretty cool about it, and more interested in talking about where I live than the laws I apparently broke that day.
