'Felony' is simply an over used label with a very low threshold .

Giving someone a 'Felony' on their recored is a handy tool used to revoke many constitutional rights permanently,preventing employment and self sufficiency,preventing home ownership,unless you've got cash,preventing gun ownership,and such.

This creates dependance on the government for life,the government likes that because it justifies their existence.
