What's the point of labeling the available fault current for a new commercial service?
It seems about half the services I've done the inspectors require it. I know it's in the code somewhere.
My guess is that so the inspector knows that the new service fault current rating is rated for the available fault current and/ or if a piece of equipment gets added in the future it could handle the fault current. ??
