Default General Questions

I'm not sure if this is the right section to ask these questions because I'm new so I apologize in advance. I just took the aptitude test and I now have an interview date with local IBEW46 because I would like to train to become a limited energy technician but I just have a few questions so that I can better prepare myself for the future and sort of getting everything sorted out. First, I would like to know the price of the books that I will need to purchase when I start boot camp and just general supplies I will need while I'm taking my classes. The other thing I would like to know is what kind of questions am I going to be asked by the committee when I go in for my interview? If anyone can help me with answering these questions you would be helping me out a lot. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. I'm not a union guy so I can't answer your questions, but there are some union guys on here who will be along shortly.

Have you ever worked in the industry?

I do not know anything about a limited energy classification but as far as the interview goes the JATC use to have a guide on the structure of the questions to help you prepare for the interview.

If I remember correctly it was a lot of what did or would you do in this situation and how did you handle it type questions.

Most of the questions will probably be general job interview questions. There shouldn't be anything technical because you are new. Be confident and treat the interview like you are meeting new friends for the first time. Good luck.

Welcome aboard! Enjoy your ride here.

I couldn't tell you about book costs or things along those lines.

As for the questions they are basic job interview questions.
