May sound trivial, but it is important.
I agree. When some of the guys I use roll up in their truck with bumper stickers, I tell them to park down the block. No gun stickers, union stickers, politics, or anything else that might be polarizing in any way.

It's business. The only thing that an employee should be advertising is how much they care about the customer's job.

I worked for a large union company that would remove any stickers (including union ones) from their trucks, job boxes etc. What you put on your toolbox or hard hat is fine, but not on company owned stuff.

When I started doing sales work, I noticed one of the trucks (last salesman now a delivery truck) had two bumper stickers that read "We Vote For Life".
Clearly an abortion topic.

I mentioned it to the President and he had them removed immediately.

I won't let my guys put stickers on their hardhats as the adhesive compromises the integrity of the plastic.

"It's construction" is not the excuse it used to be.

One of the reasons we were denied using the bathrooms on my last job was because of the ridiculous amount of political rants, racist pictures and big penises written all over the port-o-johns.

The women's john had zero graffiti and got to use the bathrooms as soon as they were available.
