Answer:
- Always keep pad locks on the side doors and back doors or the company van when going out to eat, or basically whenever you're not going to be around it for an extended period of time.

- When working with large groups of co-workers that think its okay to just go in your bag and use something, then leave your tool out and forget about it... Whenever working with a lot of co-workers, I just zip up all the zippers on my tool bag and put a lock on it so you can't open them. Same thing with my Milwaukee case, I have small locks for these things and especially this scenario..

- Go on amazon and buy a $30.00 tracker, put it in your tool bag.. If someone steals your bag, at least you have the chance that the tracker will be picked up by a Bluetooth signal and you'll know exactly where it is located. These trackers run off Bluetooth technology. It isn't a bullet proof tracking method but its good enough and most of the time will do a good job tracking your bag.

- My Bluetooth Milwaukee drills have a tracker built into them, it'll tell you if your tool is 100ft or more away from you. This same technology can be bought on amazon. Just put the tracker in your bag, and it'll alert your phone if your tracker is not within 100 feat from you.

- When you're allowed to take your company van home, don't leave your tools in the van. Always take the extra time to take the tools out. Trust me, eventually you're van will get tampered with or broken into. Don't take the chance. This goes with any vehicle, but especially company vans.

- Last but not least, stay organized. At the end of the day you should be able to look at your tool bag and know that everything is back where it should be. You will eventually lose tools without staying organized, it'll unavoidable at some point.

I'M HERE!!!! That's right MikeFL! haha Thank you so much, can't believe I actually won. Appreciate the giveaway, going to put it to great use. First thing I've ever won. Hope I didn't reply too late!! My last tape measure broke last week, this could not have been better timing.

It showed up today. Little on the bulky side but the lock is the best one I have ever used.

I'll check the mail when I get home. My fatmax is showing age after a few years of faithful use. What's cool is I participated in the tool survey for the development of this tape measure. Bold 1/8" marks was a feature I voted for.

What, no lengthy speeches thanking their parents, coworkers, the journeyman who taught them everything they know, and their spouses? This awards ceremony rather much sucks.

Just got mine in the mail today, honestly it's the nicely one I've seen so far. It has 2 different locking mechanisms, hooks on both sides, strong magnet, and also has pipe bending deductions built into the tape measure, which I've never seen before. It's very sturdy, and personally don't find it bulky like Jhellwig. My last one was Klein so maybe I'm just used to the style.. All and all 9.5/10. I'd give it 10/10 if it had the scales (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, etc...) built into the measurement part, that's not a big deal though, just being super picky. Will probably buy this same one again when this breaks, hopefully not any time soon! Anyways thanks again!
