Amen, brother!

Mental note, do not go to Shelby County, TN.

I do hope you plan on replacing those yellow inline crimps, especially the burned one on the blue to black wires.

And you were given an excellent clue as to the location of the problem:

With smartass answers like that you wonder why people jump on your case....

If you don't want help, then GFY and get off the forum...and don't let your keyboard hit you in your ass on your way out.

Jackass.

I don't smoke, i wasn't busting your balls and like I mentioned, the last of the group of pictures you posted, inside the room, on the ceiling to the left, it looks to me like I see a couple of holes and the outline of a single tube fluorescent fixture that had been removed.
The holes to me look like they were from whips coming down from above the ceiling.
If that is what I see, IMO a junction box could well be hidden there.
I assumed you took that picture because it was the inside wall of the outside location you were working on. That's were I would have planted a box and came back out in conduit to continue the run.
I would only guess that someone remodeled and covered that box up. That would also account for all the exposed work I saw in an earlier picture you posted.

Now if you don't like what I posted that's fine by me. You said you were looking for options and I gave you my 2cents. If it doesn't jive with what is there that's ok by me. But please don't chop my toes off for giving ideas that you asked for.

From a 1000 miles away, this looks like a spot to check.

The guy that works with me has been doing this as long as I have and gets paid the same as me. He does not know 1/4 of the code I do, therefore I call him a helper.

The boss thinks that since he pays this guy a journeyman pay, this guy runs his own van.

Is this now making sense to you?
I hate to keep dogpiling on you dude, but you aren't making journeyman pay for Shelby County, TN. According to salary.com, the average pay is $24/hr for a journeyman, and under 10% of J-men make less than $18/hr. You are getting taken advantage of man. Providing your own truck, own cell phone, and getting paid 3rd year apprentice wages just isn't right, or fair to you. You should be about double considering you are saving the boss $300-$400 a month between vehicle and cell phone costs alone. Here is a chart showing the average pay for J-man in Memphis, which is the county seat of Shelby County:

Yeah, that panel is a perfect example of what happens when someone in the flock knows 'lectric.

I don't even have my journeyman's yet so I can't be one to judge. If it were me I would call back up and locate the problem. I'm sure the church would be willing to spend the money so it doesn't have the chance of potentially burning down. Teach your **** helper something. The church would rather deal with paying for a hole in the floor versus a hole in the ground where it used to stand. Buildings burning down doesn't look good but history tells us it's even worse for churches.

My bad OP because I know that was somewhat repetitive I felt the need to add my 2 cents. Church goers would be happy if they ever found out what their 2 cents went towards that Sunday.

Don't think they will, I noticed it on the first page and considering I've been on another forum before, I should've read the date. My bad i'm new here as you can see.
