I like that horizontal service....we'll probably push for it it our next Canadian code revision.....don't even need a ladder to connect the PoCo drop !

You guys should jump all over that... The panels are sideways already...

This sideways thinking is old hat north of the 49th Parallel.

Check out the typical basement mounted residential panel up there.
