I went back and tried to count the number of CCCs in that picture we are talking about. I counted 9 CCCs.

30amps(90C column)*70%(derating for 9CCCs) = 21 amps allowed.

IMO, you may not have needed to pull those out, it looks like it was code compliant to begin with.

No argument, but I never labeled what was in the pipes, I just labeled them so someone at the panel knew where each one was coming from.

I'd much rather see a label/marking on a JB cover. That's a much bigger help (knowing what circuits are in that JB).
