Default I know better than to start this

Regarding the the subject of different forums I think we need a industrial forum.
I think that there are several of us out there that work to a engineering standard rather than the NEC . We must also remember the NESC that governs industrial and outside work.

The site needs a place for those of us that know what a DS circuit breaker is or work with synchronous motors or do Doble testing and work around protective relays and all of the other equipment that we see in industrial,petro-chemical or power generation and in plant distribution can talk.

There is a residential forum,a commercial forum but the but the industrial people are out in the cold.

Thank you and I yield back the portion of my time.

From an SEO standpoint, having threads of a particular subject inside of a separate sub-forum is the basis of silo structuring.

So making more sub-forums would be good for the website. It really can't hurt.

IMO, I've always considered PLCs, VFDs, Motors and Controls to be the area for industrial topics.

But that's just me.

Not all PLCs, VFDs, motors and controls are used in industrial. I build controls for heating systems in houses. Worked on PLCs in car washes, and wired VFDs in paint booths. Motors are everywhere.
