Default ICE DAMB Remedies

http://www.radiantheatproducts.com/C...and-Gutter.php
(search U-Tube)
Calorique roof de- Ice system.

Has any body seen or used this product?
They say the Connectors are UL... But not the product.
Basically the same as floor radiant heat.

Any opinions?
Looks cool if it works, just not sure about the heat strip under the shingles.

I dunno, the web page is vague. Are they advocating heating the entire roof? If so, anybody who has it installed is going to spend a small fortune keeping the roof warm when a properly designed home has a cold roof.

Roof and gutter de-icing is designed to heat up specific areas and to keep troughs and gutters clear to maintain water flow. This seems like overkill.

Not the entire roof, just a 2" strip under the starter coarse and a 4" strip under the 2nd coarse.
It has an auto temp/ moisture sensor to turn it on.
