Not only do you live in another nation -- you must live in another world.

1) We've got county amendments out the $#@.

2) So you're proposing to 'correct' City Hall. Good luck with that one.

3) I can't AFFORD to be right. Many is the time that I've had to give way to bull^%$# so as to keep the job on track and to get PAID on time.

In Commercial Electrical work, you just can't hold the job up because you're 'right.'

By the time you 'win' -- you're broke and have lost your entire client base.

All of the dudes chirping about how THEY think things ought to be -- must live in a wallet-free world.
Where can one see these amendments you claim? Your city hall?

An inspector can not hold up a job unless they provide a documented code or amendment. How do they hold up your job there?

I'm not going to pull my loose leaf amendments and pdf them up to the Internet.

Sorry, kid.

BTW, I've NEVER seen ANY Canadian upload Canadian code to this site.

I don't need to see it to believe them.

But at my rate of pay, I'm not going to waste my time attempting to prove to a crowd that is so dense as to imagine that I just pull this junk out of my %$#.

I'm just not that imaginative.

You are a lying piece of trash, and everyone reading your posts here knows it.

No one here believes that you will sit here making a thousand 3,500 word posts, but you won't take a picture of 1 page saying that Rotosplits and redheads are required to be used. Nor does anyone believe that the amendments for your entire county in progressive California are not available online.

You had the chance to be honest, and you weaseled your way into your own grave.

First off, I bet I am older than you......kid.

Second, if they are loose leaf and not available on the internet, how do you obtain them? Does every EC get them mailed out? Seems odd and unbelievable.

Third I can quote any Canadian code or provincial amendment in seconds to provide proof of a claim. Check through the Canadian threads and you will see that plenty of us quote the actual codes when discussing rules. They are on my computer and on my phone. Is it not the same there?

We post US and Canadian code up and down this forum on a daily basis. At this point even the most basic things he posts are blatant lies.

People are always asked to provide proof of claimed codes here. Those that don’t are not believed. @telsa you are not new here, why is this request odd to you all of a sudden?

Many posting here, obviously, never had to concern themselves with getting PAID by the GC.

They are also proposing that I and my peers fight City Hall.

Dumb.

It's a screwy world out there. But at least all local ECs are on the same rotten playing field.

Consequently there is ZERO financial benefit for taking on City Hall -- or the county AHJ.

For you j-men -- wait until you have your own EC license -- and have to face unreasonable AHJ.

If our AHJ were more tractable -- you wouldn't see so much un-permitted work hereabouts.

I'm not talking about the penny saver handy man, either.

On such builds, you'd think the crew was distilling booze. Everyone would mouse around.

When you enter California -- you're in another world.

I've lost track of out-of-state 'talent' that fried their brains over local requirements.

Like Hax -- they just gagged -- and soon departed.

They didn't realize that the high wages were more than balanced by astounding living costs.

(Hawaii also has mind boggling living costs, as does Alaska.)

Today, in San Francisco, you can qualify for housing assistance if your income less than $130,000 per year. True!

( It's a sliding scale. SF has had rent control going back to WWII. My two great aunts lived there with 1940's scale rents until they died -- fifty-years later.)

Just get over it. California's government is crazed. This craziness extends all over.

Hell, the AHJ just handed them to me.

Next stupid question?

Are they not available to see online? All EC’s must get loose leaf documents handed to them? What about updates? Does the AHJ drive around handing them out to all EC’s?

You remind me of a Canadian guy (Borgi) who makes silly claims and refuses to back them up.
If I was being questioned on something I claimed to be code, and didn’t have a digital version, a simple photo of these documents would end it, but instead you keep ranting, why?

No, no one proposed that. We simply asked you to produce the amendments that you say require rotosplits and redheads to be used. Also, some evidence of all the MC in a building having to be ripped out because they didn't use a rotosplit. Show us...

Nope, I am not going anywhere. Just like with chicken steve, I am going to be on you like white on rice. From here on out you won't make a post on this forum without me right behind it asking you to post those amendments you claim exist. Everyone post in every thread. I will not allow you to get away with lying to the entire forum like this. Your lies are irresponsible and could cost other contractors money. You are not going to get away with this.

This is all I can locate online about any amendments for the County of Sacramento. The fence thing you mentioned is in here, but nothing about the MC-Cables.

Is there another form somewhere?

You must not have been there on the day that they were handing out the loose-leaf binders of code amendments

I've NEVER asked anyone to prove local amendments.

If I go to the bizarre effort of shoving them in your face -- would that make you HAPPY?

I don't think so.

Being proven wrong just infuriates folks.

Ask yourself one basic question, how and why could I EVER come up with such crazy requirements?

I'm just not that imaginative.

As for the AHJ -- yeah -- I think many, many, many of their local requirements are BS. But there's ZERO percentage in taking them on. Indeed, professional RUIN would be the certain result.

NOTHING infuriates dudes MORE than being proven wrong.

Now imagine if that dude has life and death control over your time of job completion.

Which they do.

In my world, I can't afford to alienate the hand that signs off.

I can't afford to correct them.

Instead the reverse is true. I have them eating out of my hand.

Hax is in a different universe. Plainly he's doing a LOT of un-permitted work.

So he doesn't have to kiss the AHJ in the tush.

And as his posts make clear, Hax loves provocation. It's an expensive hobby.

Once, when I was young, I thought that the world needed my perfect insights.

I discovered that no-one wanted the correct or best way -- when it made them feel bad. My popularity soared when I let my fellows bang their heads into a wall. I learned to pretend to be stupid. I learned to -- basically -- stop correcting folks.

I'm obviously violating that dictum in this thread.

As for Hax, rage and verbosity do not make for an argument.

You will never find me jumping into how the AHJ on the east coast, gulf coast, anywhere have got things all wrong. I'll let local j-men // foremen// ECs do that.

The idea that you can second guess a Californian with an active C-10 is a hoot.

So let me get this straight... If I posted something stupid and unrealistic (like all the stuff you posted), let's say that our local amendments require us to use rigid in all houses, it is wrong for someone without an NJ state license to question me and ask to see that amendment written? Everyone is supposed to automatically believe me without question, like you expect here?

Oh, so it’s not an actual amendment, it’s just what the AHJ wants and you don’t want to piss them off?
Or is it an actual amendment that you have only on loose leaf paper?

Sorry, it’s getting hard to keep track of all these claims without documentation.

If I were you, I would provide said document. Again super easy. Take a picture of it and post it. Then you can say “ here hackwork and incognito, suck on this!”.

Then we would say “oh, thanks for the proof, we should never of doubted you”

Wouldn’t that be easy and feel great?

It’s not a “bizarre effort” to provide proof of a claimed code or amendment. it’s been done that way on this forum for many years. For you to say that makes you look like there is no actual documentation because you know that is how these discussions are proven to be fact. No one just takes my word for my claims and I have every possible credential I can get.

How about this?

If Telsa can show me the amendment that requires electrician to use Rotosplits and redheads on MC cable, and also any reasonable evidence that all the MC in a building was required to be ripped out because they did not use a Rotosplit (these are the exact assertions that he made), I will send $500 to the charity of his choice. I swear to that not only with my username here, but my name in real life, which many people here know.

There's the bet. Hell, it's not even a bet because he has nothing to lose. Other than any little bit of dignity he thinks he has left.

Let's see what you got to say about that, @telsa

$500

So telsa is a "soft target"?

And asking someone to post amendments when they said that there are amendments is "bullying"?

And offering a rather large charitable donation for merely posting a picture or link is "pathetic"?

I see

I have done jobs in sac and if you don't use a rotosplit you will need red hats .

In Fresno everything is arc fault . In Santa Rosa no arc fault in kitchen .
I have had AHJ call me on over fill in a 12 inch nipple . That aint NEC but they will call it in some towns . We all know they make crap up and for the most part you just go with it to pass and move on .

I have had inspectors in sac call me on box fill 20 CU in a 20 CU box with a blank . He want a 22 CU . Its his little rule and you getting passed until you do it .

For those of you that have not worked in this state it is f-up .
