Default Junk Halo 4" LED retrofit trims

Picked up 24 Halo 4" LED retrofit trims for a job this week, 3 were DOA.

Two wouldn't light up, one started doing a 1hz flash after powered up for a few seconds. Wasn't even on a dimmer, just a new single pole switch.

The things just seem cheaper than chit, the driver to led wire connection hangs on the outside with crimp caps.

Put over 150 off brand 4" trims in a house last July and had no failures, just two or so that didn't like being dimmed. Anybody have a similar experience?

I got ten on sale for $15/ea recently. Half the regular price. Not a problem in several weeks. I guess we'll see......

I have been using Halo for over 30 years and I have had to replace one or two sockets from before I started installing.

I had an issue years ago with 4" cans and afci which was quickly rectified. I have not had the issue the op stated and I have installed hundreds of the LED trims but only 12 or so 4" Leds.. May be a manufacturers screw up. It happens
