I have used Klein my entire career and never once even considered returning anything.
Even the ****ty screw drivers Klein makes.
I just bought another tool or the company bought another tool.

Klein's lifetime warranty has nothing to do with Home Depot giving you three pairs of brand new side cutters.
2 pairs you did not pay for.
1 pair you admittedly used as a hammer.

Klein's lifetime warranty is not BS.
You returning used items to Home Depot that you did not pay for and accepting new items in return and justifying it as "Lifetime Warranty" is BS.

I did return a husky tool once. I used it and it snapped in half. Returned it, no questions. OH I have returned a few craftsman sockets/wrenches too.

Never had issues where I needed to return a klein tool though.

HD replaced my reamer since the handle snapped off. The newer ones look like they were designed to last longer.

Man much like myself, started out with Klein and stayed with them. Brand loyalty isn't what it once was.

Lol. Brand loyalty. I just don't like buying junk when there's better stuff out there. This is based on personal experience. I'm sure if you still like klein than you probably have good reason. I for one do not. Wera screwdrivers are the best money I've spent on tools. To each his own.

I have more invested in Klein than some guys have in their homes.

Home Depot doesn't really oppose returns because they don't own the merchandise. They just lease shelf space and the vendors own the stock. In their contracts the vendors have to accept returns. Home Depot just passes the returns back to the vendor.

Not everything at China Depot or Lo's is done this way, but most tools, appliances, circuit breakers, etc. are.

Interesting but I thought that was only the Walmart business plan.

I think it's pretty self evident. I have spent more money on items made and or sold by Klein than some homes are sold for. I have been buying their tools and equipment since the early 1960s. I have purchased at least one of every tool set Klein has put out, one of every bag, bucket, and box. We won't even mention how many of each hand tool. It adds up quickly.
