I'm looking to see if anyone has any experience with LED flood fixtures. I'm looking to replace a 500 watt halogen fixture with a LED equivalent. Needs to blast out about 100 feet. After reading all the charts and lumen comparisons all I get are many mixed reviews. 100 watt Led seems to keep coming up but then I read that that won't do it. If anyone has actually installed any, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks, Brian
It's really only turned on when working out there or when I let the dogs out. Need good light to see them, and make sure they're not eating "something" I really don't want them to!
Tired of changing out bulbs that last anywhere from a week to 6 months. I've seen some LED fixtures for about $100 (probably cheap quality) and like a whiter light like MH fixtures.
All the majors (Hubbell, Lithonia, RUUD, RAB, etc) have photometric charts on their cut sheets that show exactly how much light their fixtures broadcast where and to what level. Were you looking for something besides that? I notice that the cut sheets for most of the LED fixtures on the open market generally say in the summary description the type of HID fixture they are intended to roughly replace.
