Default Oddball FPE

I came across this gem a while back. It's odd because it's a breaker panel with a fused main, and it's FPE, which I don't see very many of around these parts.

I've seen fused mains on breaker panels before, but never FPE. And it was in a closet.

Best FPE design ever. The fuses protect the breakers that don't trip.

There's a lot of room in that panel, usually FPE's are tiny and all the wires are jammed in.

I've never seen that design and I see a lot of FPE.

It's not that ancient either, there's plastic covered NM cable there. Usually the fused main panels were back in the cloth covered NM days.

I've only seen those in CH panels.

No, it goes into the fuse box graveyard that I inexplicably keep in a corner of a storage building.

Sell it or scrap it, you'll feel better.
