Here is y . They would rather sell you two runs of conduits than one run of conduit so even if you invent the thing , they will make a code against it, because manufacturer's are just like that......... However....... if you invent something that will require installers to run three runs of conduit instead of just one or two, it will be welcomed by the industry and you will get all the industry adoration and backslapping that Kenny did......

But is that really the case here?

Instead of running a 2" and splitting it halfway (a 100' run would require 150' of 2" pipe), why not just run (2) 1-1/4" pipes the whole way (200' of 1-1/4")? The material price is probably the same.

Years ago I went to an expensive home in Malibu, plastic surgeon to the Stars, beautiful landscaping. Problem, the landscape lighting was out in random locations. After much head scratching and exploratory digging...

I found that the landscape contractor was a wanna be electrician. I noticed there were no junction boxes, the Doctor told me he had requested that there be no boxes in visible areas. What the hell? Hmm....

There was only one conduit coming up at each fixture. Where the hell were the boxes and splices, could there be a separate home run to each fixture? Nope, OMG, there were round Bell boxes underground with the stems coming up from the threaded hole in the cover. And all the conduit UG was EMT. Sad. The EMT and boxes were all corroded, some so bad the the box was just a handful of powdery white death. The whole job, hundreds of fixtures.

Man the Doctor was mad when I told him the whole job had to be done over. He realized he had been conned. His gardener took over 4 months to expose the whole job so we could replace all the wiring.
