Hi can anyone tell me, whats the maximum height the service disconnecting means for a house can be? I have one at 7'1" with fingers crossed that will pass inspection!!!

If you mean 7'1" to the handle I think you'll be building a 6" platform under the disconnect.

The code is 6'7" maximum to the handle. See 404.8(A)

It seems that alot of new members joined on the same date (8/02/12). I don't think any of them are professional electricians though.

The max height will be 2 meter or 6'7" that mean any breaker or disconnect handle at the max height so that is in the NEC code art 404.8(A)

Merci,
Marc
