Default Sprint/Ericson Job

Yesterday, I was working at a Sprint switching station. Took some pictures of some pretty interesting equipment.

First couple pictures is the main CB at the gear. The next couple of shots, are of the battery charging banks, used to eliminate any downtime, if a outage occurs, for the few seconds it takes for the ATS to switch to Generator power.

ATS for the 4 Generators, the last shot came out blury, but was one of the ATS's opened up.

With all the extreme heat and earthquakes here lately that back-up equipment is gonna be put to the test soon.....

Think so, it's the right color green.

Ever been near one when it swiches over? Makes me jump every time.
Manually throwing it doesn't bother me, cept the part about accidents happen.

The layout of the control boards look like the Cummins ATS which also has a similar green

I did a job earlier this week at the head end of the local cable company and there was a similar battery rack. There were also a million cables everywhere; it was all neatly done but you definitely didn't want to get your pliers snagged on something when you walked by
