It requires you to have 7 years experience in order to apply. I'm right around 6 but it says for each year of school you get partial credit.i have 5 years of school, does anybody know how much time that translates to?

The particular trade school I attended, Eastern Suffolk BOCES Trade Electric was for 2 years. And counts as a years experience.

If you have 6 years exp. and 5 years of electrical school, I'm pretty positive you can go ahead and sign up to start the licensing process.

Edit: what school did you go to?

Not to familiar with the union, but if the bullchit 2 years of Boces counted for a years experience, I'm sure local 25 will count for something.

I believe you can submit off-the-books experience. If that's the case, then do that.
