Mac and I aren't likely to agree on anything, but I gotta admit,
that's an entertaining choice of words.

...was there every a real study done to determine the viability of solar power for individual homes, not one conducted by solar panel manufactures? Without the rebates or other incentives in the mix, I often wonder..

Sunshine came softly a-through my a-window today
Could've tripped out easy a-but I've bypassed those ways
It'll take time, I know it but in a while
It's a gold mine , I know it, with subsidized style
'Cause I made my mind up the green machine is fine

I'll tell you right now
Any crook in the book a-now, baby, all that I can find

Everybody's hustlin' a-just to have a piece of the scene
When I say we'll be cool, I think that you know what I mean
We wore solar beanies, do you remember when?
Then Al Gore showed up and , a-it never ends
When you've made your mind up the green machine is fine

Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm
We're saving the planet a-it blows your little minds
'Cause our coffers fill when that green machine does fine
I'll tell you right now
Any crook in the book a-now, baby, that I can find

Superman or George Soros ain't got a-nothin' on me
I can make like a turtle and dive for your tax $$ you see
A-you can just sit there thinking on your energy czar throne
'Bout all the rainbows a-you can sell on your own
'Cause our coffers fill when that green machine does fine

Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm
We're saving the planet a-it blows your little minds
'Cause our coffers fill when that green machine does fine
I'll tell you right now
Any crook in the book a-now, baby, that'll do just fine

Solar-thermal NEVER pans out.

Why this super scale experiment was ever given the go ahead ?

PV is the only way that makes sense.

The article wildly understates the bird deaths. During migration, the critters are raining from the sky. To the birds, the mirrors look like fresh water lakes -- the perfect place to aim for and touch down.

The flux is so intense that the critters go from raw to burnt in about 300 milliseconds.

Didn't these guys ever burn ants with magnifying glasses as kids? You notice most of the 'green' energy solutions tend to slaughter animals by the thousands. We had issues back home with the windmills taking out flights of birds, now this, and I'm sure fish and hydropower don't mix. So much for earth friendly,

In Florida someone just monitored how many turtles get sucked in the nuke plant intake at one of the power plants. They calculated how many have died over the life of the nuke plant. It's lots.

I really don't get why anyone expects any power generation to come without environmental consequences. Maybe it's because when it's billed as "green" folks assume that must mean in perfect harmony with nature? No such thing.

All power plants will negatively impact their environment during the course of operation. All we can do is try to mitigate what types of damage and how severe it is.

This cannot possibly happen......it was designed by licensed engineers, all with college degrees.

These engineers know everything there is to know,,,,,if you don't believe me, just ask any one of them.

It must have been those dirty rotten low-down good-for-nothing guys who installed it. Not only are they the laziest people on earth, but they will actually go out of their way to screw stuff up.

Yeah, it has to be the installers, engineers are too busy being perfect to make mistakes.
