i“m 29 and have been on the job from 2005 and finished journeymans testing 2007.
I live in reykjavķk .
Industrial and apartments "new" installation 2005-2008
Aluminium smelter 2008-2010
optical fiber installation (fiber to the home) 2010-...

It is not as could as the name reefers too , but no tropical island either
we use ĶST 200:2006 it is almoust like IEC 60364 from International Electrotechnical Commission but with with extra icelandic regulations

What are the standard voltages-- residential here is 120/240 single phase, commercial is 120/208 3phase and 277/480 3 phase Of course there are other voltages but those are the most common

3/N 400/230 V (TN-C-S)
the standard voltages is 230v beetwen phase and Neutral and 400v between phases.
but we also have older setups like 220v two phase systems and 380v 3phase.
in the country we often use 2/N 460/230 V (TT)

No. I'm just married to a Western Icelander. (Her Afi was the first born in the settlement)
Living there, you pick up enough to understand but not speak it
We used to raise Island hundur.(Bolstad Kennels in Gimli)
