You have any work? I was in Buffalo a while back, and Buffalo looks like if it wasn't for the Bridge into Canada and the Falls it would be another Detroit.

Is that lake in Jamestown man made and can you get into Lake Erie from that lake?

Yes.
No. and,
No.

LOL
Yes:
There is work in our local (106). Buffalo is Local 41, and yeah, I think that they are lacking in work there at present. However, the last 2 winters have been very slow. Many guys who have been around here a while say it's the slowest that they've seen it in 10 years or so. School and municipal job funding seems to be drying up, after all, NY State is broke.

No. Lake Chautauqua is not man made. (Formed by glaciers, I understand).

No. You cannot get to Lake Erie from Lake Chautauqua (by waterway). The continental divide/Chautauqua Ridge runs between the two. It is interesting that Erie drains eventually into the Atlantic Ocean, and Chautauqua eventually flows to the Gulf of Mexico.

There is a spot in Western Maryland, The East Coast Continental Divide, I tell my boys pee on the east slope pollute the Chesapeake Bay, pee on the western slope and pollute the Gulf of Mexico. Whiz on the peak and guess.

Exactly. From a topo map of my hunting grounds, I can identify the exact ridge where pissing on the top of it, some of it will end up flowin' down the Mississip into the Gulf O' Mex, and some of it will end up flowing down the St. Lawrence into the Atlantic.

Pretty Cool.

Yeah, I suppose Lake Chautauqua is similar to the Fingers, the bed was either scraped out by glacier flow, or carved out by water runoff when the big ice cubes melted.

Jamestown, eh? If you don't mind me asking, what contractors do/have you worked for, and what were your experiences like?

Kind of like working pipeline....Don't ever ask your toolie where he is from, let him tell you whatever... it's safer that way.

That way, when someone says "Didn't you work with so and so?"

Me - "Ya..."

Them - See he was aerial killer in 'X' state?"

Me - "Was wondering what ever happened to that ol`grizzly bear that used to hang out in the back...."

Welcome back - toolie!
