Thumbs up introduction

hi All
I just want to introduce myself I am a white male living in south Africa in the electrical construction industry and been doing this for the last 20 years
i have managed many high voltage construction projects eg substations and solar farms, also as a construction guy it will require the construction of buildings concrete and civil works so this is also not a problem
i am looking for intelligent conversations with similar minded persons in other country's to enhance my skills and broaden my horizons
i hope this will be the correct forum

What's your mains voltage & frequency over there?
What options are available to the customers?

hi Mike the frequency through the bank is 50khz
mains single phase 220v / 3 phase 380v then some of the old mines work on 6.6kv /525v but most of the new mines use 11kv/525v. Eskom (our generator company) mostly supply 11kv and 22kv to municipality's and rural networks
some of the old transmission lines is 88kv and 66kv but most of the new lines is 132kv and 400kv lines hahaha, and we also have one 765kv overhead line feeding between transmission substations but this is in the Central part of south Africa, between Johannesburg and the eastern part of the country
we actually have a not to bad network system Eskom is just struggling to keep it alive

hahaha hope full i am also a great guy thanks Canbug (Tim) Yes we don't have a lot of stuff holding us back and normally the last to leave the party, and we will always support our friends (almost like You guy's have the saying never leave some one behind)
