Default Local 3 apprentice

Hello to all. If all goes well, and thanks to "Helmets to Hardhats" I'll be an apprentice in IBEW local 3 at here in NYC. Felt pretty good, after taking the aptitude test. I received a call saying I did well on the test followed by a letter asking me to attend a "Electrical Theory" class.
During my USAF career, I was a Aircraft Electrician and Environmentalist. I loved the electrical work but hated the military obligations. I'm afraid to say that I've learned more from this forum, then from the local. I'm hoping some kind of orientation follows my physical's positive results.
