Default New member and a Journeyman Electrician wanting to move to Aus!

Hey there,
I'm a newly certified Journeyman Electrician. I'm on here to see if anyone could give some insight on being certified in Canada and wanting to move to Australia to work. Is it as difficult as the internet makes it out to be? I am looking at moving to Adalaide or around that area. Any information helps. Thank you!

I tried to but I'm not seeing much to fill out on my end. It's just asking for my birthday and my time zone. And there's a help section which is bringing me straight back to the same page with nothing else to fill out.

Ask on this Aussie electrician site...
http://www.phased.com.au/index.php

Also google overseas electrician jobs. A number of years back I looked & there were mining jobs. Being a Canuck may help. Downside is they're similar to BS not CEC.

macmikeman way to move someplace- Just go. Do not try to find a job before going, that takes all the adventure out of it. And secondly , don't go with a whole lot of money when you go. It makes you look twice as hard to find a job once you get there. .....

You're so right and adventure is what I'm looking for. I'm more concerned because my friend is bringing her 2 dogs over so we want to have a little idea of what we are walking into. Either way I am going even if she doesn't want to go through all this hassle. Thanks for the tip!
