No but the 2018 Ontario amendments to the code are available free on ESA’s website so you could buy the knight code book and print the Ontario amendments if your looking to save cash?

One thing i haven't really been able to answer myself yet.

If Knight is arguing that CSA doesn't own the code, so he can reprint and sell the Canadian code, would that not mean that if fully realized the code will be available from the government directly? Arguably you'd still like a book and nice formatting so getting it from a supplier (CSA/Knight) would still be done, but wouldn't the raw text be available directly from the government just like all the other laws?
Or am i missing something? I just haven't seen this mentioned in any of the mentions of the Knight work has been doing.

In some of his writings he does think when he finally wins that others will publish it so he would have some competition.

A government supplied pdf would be the answer tho. If you want a hard copy take the file to Staples and have them print it.

It is available, but read only.

Thanks

I spent a considerable amount of time searching the web including government sites and could not find a read only, government supplied PDF of the Canadian Electrical Code.

Are we to assume this is another made up “Borgi” post or do you actually have a link to back up your claim?

You are not looking in the correct location. Easy to find if you use your brain, rather than constantly criticizing.

You all make me laugh though, I am sure all the true Canadians know exactly where it is, and that is good enough for me.

Seriously Borgi, you have done this many times, made a claim and then do not post any proof. It may be good enough for you, but due to your post history, they don’t mean chit to anyone else, just another false claim is all.

Wouldn’t it be better to prove me wrong and post some proof?

Borgi
Yup, just as I thought.

Just another made up post by Borgi with no link as proof.

Nothing to see here.

Most libraries around here have the most commons if not all of the code books available for consultation, with up to date patch, etc. You're usually not allowed to do photocopies or other means of reproductions tho, but as Borgi said, they are available for free, read only.

Hope not. I use his books, not the code but the simplified ones.

Even if I gave you a link, held your hand and showed you how to get a free read only PDF of the 2018 CEC, you all wouldn't believe me anyway, and find a way to twist the facts to suite your needs.

Yes. all Canadians should know where it is. It's not rocket science. You might want to start with this thread. CSA group would be a good place to start!

Like I said earlier, you have to do some work to access it, but it's available. I use it from time to time, but I prefer a book in hand.

It's our code. Why should we, (Canadians), pay for something that belongs to us? Well, belongs to Canadians.

It's too funny that the self proclaimed guru of the CEC, eddy current, has no idea how to find it!

I know why. He is NOT who he says he is. All too common in todays' on line world.
