That seems crazy that your employer wouldn't give you the time you needed to write a test for your career. Seems to be there's a mutual benefit there.

Not really. In the employers eyes, The only thing that changes after you pass your test is you cost more. Lol

Yeah it was a different time back then. Don't get me wrong; he was not a bad guy, it seemed to be more of a situational issue. I don't really remember the details, but there was something like 3 sittings a month and this came open on short notice or I was going to have to wait a couple of months or something, and we were in the middle of something or he was away I don't recall...

Regardless it is long, long history now.
