Default Is NEMA Twist Lock 60A IP56 Receptacles available?

Hi,

I am working in a project for ship building and the customer required receptacles with the following specs:

• 440V/60A, 3PH + Ground
• Flange Mounted
• NEMA Twist Lock Type Blade Configuration
• Threaded end caps to keep receptacle clean and dry when not in use. Caps shall be tethered to the receptacle flange mount
• IP56 Rated

According to the NEMA chart for receptacles, there are no receptacles available could meet the requirement for NEMA Twist Lock Blade Configuration at 60A and also IP56 rated.

Anyone know if this spec is feasible? If possible, please specify the Model Number (s) of the Receptacles.

Thanks.

But there is a requirement for the twist-lock and all the above recommendation is for Pin and Sleeve only.

Engineer is smoking crack. Pin and sleeve is your only option.

Specs exist for NEMA 60a twist locks, however AFAIK they are not produced, for good reason too. They will self destruct in short order when opened under load, especially with the arcs at 480v.

I've never heard of nor seen a twist lock with threaded caps...

You'll be using pin and sleeve.

I have never seen one before either... these are "non-nema" type...
