Default pot lights in suspended ceiling

I am always wondering if I need to use chain to support pot lights in suspended ceiling? I know we need to do so for the 2x4 light fixture. And I could not find any place in pot lights that allow me to hook up the chain or I need to use other methods to support the pot lights.
how do you guys deal with it.
btw I am in Ontario.

much appreciated!!!!

Lights must be supported independently unless the ceiling is rated for the weight.

Having some jack chain or ceiling chain on hand never hurt anyone. Last box I got was on sale online Covalin for $19, or any building supply retail. 100ft spool goes a long way for small residential jobs

When I started using Lotus Lights, the guys here thought I was from a different planet. Now they use them all the time (or knock offs).

Same. We don't use Lotus, but we've been using Ortech. Out of all the Chinese stuff out there, we found a happy medium with quality and price.

They all install the same to me. Lithonia wafers are $14.50 US at my supplier, so they are my favorite at the moment until the home creepo ones are cheaper.
