I still open up my 2015 code when answering questions here .... I guess it's time to start opening the 2018 code book instead !

When did this info get released ( if you know)? My older brother just got out of school. He still has yet to register for the exam and I guess he'll need to buy the new code book for it now.

The info has been out for a while now.

It’s actually kind of late compared to the last few code cycles. Usually, one year after the code comes out they offer you your choice of books for the exam for a few months, old or new. Because this is so late (year and a half since it’s been released) they will only be offering the 2018 book as of July 1st.

Spoke with someone from the MTCU yesterday. They told me they are now allowing both books when writing the C of Q, the 2018 and the 2015. No answer as to how long that will last.

The MTCU here apparently gave me the wrong info. The only give you the 2018 code for the red seal exam now, no 2015 allowed anymore.

But they also said the exam has not changed so that means the questions are not on any new codes.
