Default This morning was Continuing Education Code Changes 2017

Only 4 hours. 8-noon. Afterwards I did the travel agency abortion.

Anyway, it was pretty enjoyable , Hell, I would have been ok with 4 more hours of it. 17 seems to me to be a drunken sailor story. We probably won't adopt it for another ten years or so if we were to compare it to how it has been going, Honolulu still only enforces 2008 as far as I know. But it's good to see the Mike Holt slides and hear the discussions. Only 4 hours every three years isn't asking so much.

Carry on.

Ours (CEC) are 8 hours. I have one coming up in a couple of weeks. I have lots of money so I spend the bucks to hang out with the boys and girls at a fancy room in a hotel. Some take it on line, or trade school to save dollars.

But... I get breakfast, coffee, donuts. Then Lunch, more coffee, donuts. Then... I'm invited to the monthly meeting with a 'guest' speaker. It includes dinner... and probably more coffee, - which is a good thing.

Also every 3 years.

Coffee is good. Especially if it's included in the price.

I'm not. But I guess this course is the same day as their evening meeting. On my confirmation memo for the course next month they include an invite. I would think to everyone doing the April 15 course.

After spending 8 hours with them on the course I'll probably pass on their dinner/meeting. My birthday so the wife will probably pick up McDonald's or something. Too old for the something tho.

The Ontario one is broken into two separate parts. Most only take the first part. That way it’s only four hours and they don’t provide any food, just bad coffee.

In CA we have to do 32 hours every three years. I'm due before August so I'm hoping to knock them all out next month at the JATC, 4 weeks of Tues/Thurs 5-8 and three Saturdays 8-2:30. It's going to suck a bit but at least I won't have to do it again for another three years.

Wait......32 hrs? I thought it was 30. I already got 24, so I was planning on doin' an 8 hr. and eating 2 hrs. to get my 30, since 6 hr. classes are few and far between. But I still have 2 more years to go.

As always in the land of fruits and nuts, if they can make it difficult and collect money they will. Don't expect them to crack down on the unlicensed or trunk slammers though...no money to be had there.
