    2. UPI CAME TO OUR SCHOOL AND SAID THAT IF U GUYS WANT TO WORK JUST THREE YEARS THATS FINE, u would be able to find a job no problem if You work with us only three years. MY QUESTION TO YOU, Do they HAVE A HIGH TURN OVER RATE??
    Why would they say that????

Are people getting hurt, or is it terrible at UPI that no local electricians want to work there. Why would UPI go to LA TRADE TECH to hire , why not local colleges in SAN FRAN?

Sorry, I know I should’ve asked them all of these questions prior to taking the written test.
I guess I didn’t think I would be one of the ones getting offered a position over there.

    Thanks BrettC

    Hi Brett,
I saw your post regarding USS-POSCO, I'm currently in 4th semester with Jackson at LATTC.
Next week begins a quick crash course in prep for the test and your post from a few years ago rings true for me on a lot of counts (being 30, having a life established here, serious relationship, etc)
If you have the time I would love to hear more about how it's been for you since accepting the job, life in Pittsburg, how you're liking the work you do. I've been brushing up on motor control and PLC textbooks to prep as much as possible before we begin our test course, but if there's anything in particular that you would recommend I study up on extra, I would be very appreciative of your insight. I spoke with my 2nd semester teacher today and he said that the testing is pretty brutal, so while I'll be keeping realistic expectations on passing I also don't want to sell myself completely short.
Thanks so much for reading my email, I hope it's going well for you up North!
