I see the term "piece work" used there for resi. Must pay a flat rate per house like siders get paid here. Do you think coming to AZ with a license from a state like MN that is heavily regulated and requires licensing is of any monetary value there? Is 25$/hr commercial unrealistic? Thx

As much as that market pays I guess. Wages in the north have always been higher than the south. In the good days, we made 33.10/hr non union. A licensed electrician here should still make 30+/hr but that isn't relevant. What should an experienced electrician make there?? Thx

    54,
I am looking to move to Phoenix from Minnesota by winter. Here, I hold journeyman and master licenses as well as a class A contractors license with over 20 years experience in resi and commercial. I prefer residential work. Is there a good resi shop in Phoenix? What is the pay? I here commercial pays better than resi does there? Housing seems to have picked up more there than here. Is the job market for electricians currently any good there? Thx Otto
