(need to study algebra functions) so I ordered coffmans conduit book. I'm trying to learn the right way since what I saw at my job is not what I want my pipework to look like. Sorry for the rant , maybe you got some tips or tricks? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks for taking your time to read this and have a good weekend. Ttyl.

    Hi Pony,
My name is Frankie, I have always read and researced on this site and Mike Holt. I wanted to ask you a question since you seem like you take pride in your conduit work.
I am a newbie, just a year in . I am still learning the math to it, so sometimes I use the conduit app (lol not sure if that's a joke for you ) so I can get the calculations faster on the field. I marked my bender (hand benders ) at the center of the bend. My saddles are coming out awesome with center to center BUT my offsets kinda hit where I'm trying to go over. Is this the shoe factor I was reading about ? Meaning offsets should be done at arrow? For a little clearance like my landing point should be on straight pipe (tangent line if I'm correct?) And not on the actual curve of the specific angle. Maybe my center is marked wrong? I hope I made myself clear that you can understand what I meant with out a picture.i went to the union hall but they didnt not sell me the conduit book since I'm not a member yet.

Re: 3way between buildings and our dispute over current carrying conductors (ccc).

If it's 120/240 single phase, I almost never count the grounded conductor

    x2 for the feeder

If there's two travelers, only one is energized at a time.

    x1 for travelers

The grounded conductor from that lighting load is a CCC

    x1 lighting load CCC

There's either a hot or switch leg for the three way maybe both. Let's assume both

x2 for hot and switch leg

I count 6 at most. If he did it right, it should be 5.

    Hi,

Do you do residential work in NYC? And if not, can you refer me to someone who has? I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so looking for someone with a reputation for doing great work (and preferably a participant in one of the threads on this forum). I'm constantly looking over the thread where electricians share photos of their work, but people from NY are not common :/

    Thank you in advance.

I probably should have put a Smiley on that. I was laughing as I typed it. I knew you could handle it.
