    Hi, I am not an electrician, but was hoping to get an answer. I have a 240 volt outlet that is fed by two hot wires and one ground from a 40 amp 2-pole circuit on my home panel. When I test the outlet I get a reading of 120 volts from either hot end to the ground but no reading between the two...
