ALL receptacles in unfinished basements and garages will be required to have GFCI protection. Fridges, sumps, garage door openers, etc.I recently heard that the 08 code will require gfci on all Fridge circuits and all sump pump circuits?!!?? I think this is crazy, did I hear something wrong? Am I the only one that thinks this is crazy??
i didn't know this. sumps and garage door openers? what if you have a dedicated line in a garage for a freezer or fridge? no exception there either?
