Wondering what conductor size would be required to supply an elevator motor. It is about a 100 ft run.
What H P is the motor ?

The info on the motor legend plate would be useful !

Just asking ..... are you an electrician ?

Thanks I will have to take a look at that.

Yeah I am an electrical contractor, but the motor is not there it is a new installation and the elevator company wants a 200A disconnect with 110A dual element fuses.

See if you can save some $$ on the conductors - 430.22(E) '11 NEC:thumbsup:

I just hooked up 2. They were traction elevators with 7 stops. The motor controller was feed with 100 amps but the controllers nameplate stated max load at 72 amps.
