yes 3' your supporting actually rmc conduit,it should be supported 3' from any termination points,boxes,conduit bodies etc.
18" from conduit body?
Does anyone know when they adopted that conduit bodies shall be supported 3 foot from the conduit body instead of 18 inches?

I know it's 3 foot, my boss was giving me grief saying it was suppose to be 18" until I showed it to him in the code. I was just wondering when it was changed, I think it was in the 96 cycle.
no idea,maybe its just a local code that inspector said one day and your boss just wanted to follow that rule.
